Southeast Minnesota had received several inches of new snow over the last few days, so a friend and I went searching for Snow Trillium. It is usually the first flower of the year, blooming in early April, but with the very late spring, we took a chase and found several peeking through the snow. It is a photo that I have be wanting to get for several years. We also found warblers, both Palm and Yellow-Rumpped feeding along a spring with water cress growing. A hatch of insects were coming off the water and the warblers were feasting on them. So were we with ample photo opportunities. The best have been posted here. Please enjoy. We did!
